Thank You For Your Patience!

Stuck in the Triangle area rush hour traffic requires a daily dose of patience. Waiting and waiting in the kids carpool lane puts us into patience overload. Standing in long lines at the coffee shop, restaurant or grocery store, you get the picture! We can’t even bring ourselves to talk about patience when it comes to going through airport security screenings.

What makes a physician’s office successful? Patients and patience are both equally important to a practice. Your time is very valuable and our goal is to provide the best possible resources to ensure a positive experience for you and your family at every visit.

Taking the Time For You…

Through years of experience, we have learned that no clinic day or patient interaction is ever the same. The appointment and in-office procedures template allows for maximum patient efficiency, but the needs of our patients override any system set-up. We do not want to keep our patients waiting, but if a patient before you goes into labor or needs comforting, the schedule may change. We thank you so much for your patience, understanding and compassion for others.

Helping the Patient Experience

  • New patients should arrive 10-15 minutes before their appointment to complete paperwork. When scheduling ask if the patient forms are available online/email.
  • Call your insurance provider to verify your coverage and co-pay amounts. Be sure to bring your insurance card, ID and co-pay amount if required.
  • Please bring any medical history information, including other doctor’s phone #’s, hospitalizations, family history.
  • Please bring any current medications. Know your medications including drug names, dosage, and number of times taken daily, over the counter medications.
  • Please let us know if you need wheelchair assistance or any interpretive services.
  • If you require an excuse note for work or school, please let us know ahead of time.
  • Let us know if you will be needing Rx refills and current pharmacy.

Doctor Conversations

The physicians and practice extenders are here to listen, help and support you. Having an open conversation with your doctor about your health is one of the most important discussions you will have as a patient. There are some helpful tools to help guide you and your physician to provide the best possible health care outcomes.

  • Have a symptom checklist - be specific.
  • Be honest with your doctor, don’t leave out any information which may be important to your health.
  • Don’t be embarrassed about your discussions, doctors have heard it all before.
  • Keep an open mind about what your doctor recommends.
  • Be sure to ask questions and write down what you have discussed. Sometimes it is hard to remember what was said after you leave an appointment.

As our patients, you enrich our lives and we want the best for you. Thank you for your patience!
